He's the new talk of the town.

On his first day, all the girls couldn't help but notice him as he was introduced to everyone inside the office. Tall, medium-built, mestizo-looking guy with a beguiling smile -- what can I say, he's what the Japanese would call a bishonen (pretty boy).

Alas... he's gay.

Work has been sucking the life out of me lately. For the past couple of weeks, while other yuppies have spent the last hours of the day barhopping, watching TV with their folks at home, reading up a book in their cozy little room or just snuggling into their beds early to fully recharge for the next day, I was in my cubicle, working my brains out to finish all the deliverables before the clock strikes an hour before 12 (so I could get home by 1am - Alabang-Caloocan, remember?).

It was like racing to the finish line with the devil on my heels.

I never even bothered to juggle between work and play - NEVER EVEN HAD THE TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT, POHTEK!

I better switch back to my old policy - this is just a day's work. I loved my work way too much, hungered for knowledge and experience a little bit too much that I had been too kind to accept work more than I could handle. Before I knew it, I was a little close to having another burnout.

If this continues for another week or so, I might become as dull as an abused mongol pencil in need of a really good sharpening. Now I sure as hell hate to be like that!
